Day Treatment Program

In partnership with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), Delisle’s day treatment school program offers high school courses, individual supports, and the opportunity to earn TDSB credits to youth who are not functioning well within mainstream schools. The program’s objective is to help yout eventually re-enter a mainstream school, alternative school or employment training program. The program enrolls up to 24 youth from 14 to 19 years of age and accepts referrals from agencies, schools and parents.

The program features:

An individualized Plan of Care for each participant. Each participant is matched with a youth worker who is available in the classroom.
Credit courses offered in small classes. All classes are led by Toronto Board of Education teachers.
An emphasis on group work to help participants resolve inter-personal difficulties.

The Day Program helps youth re-enter a mainstream school, alternative school or employment training program. Participants re-entering the school system typically stay the school year; participants moving toward work or job training generally stay three to four months.
