The annual Delisle Youth Gallery gives artists aged 13-19 a place to show and sell their work. It is open to every young person in the city.
Run by youth for youth, the Gallery provides a space for youth to express themselves. It serves to build community awareness and acceptance of youth and youth issues and to foster, recognize and showcase the incredible strengths, talents and diversity amongst Toronto's youth community.
The Youth Committee is involved every step of the way. Working together with Delisle's facilitators and volunteers from the community, they develop skills in gallery curation, graphic design, event planning and communications. And they earn 40-50 community service hours along the way that can be used towards their high school diploma.
The Gallery welcomes the opportunity to work with community partners and highlight the accomplishments of youth in your programs or schools. Contact us if you are a teacher or community worker and would like to learn more about how you can connect your youth with The Gallery.
Looking to Submit Art?
Drop your work off at our head office, located at 40 Orchard View Blvd, Unit 255, between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Submit your work by the Early Bird deadline of December 19th to have a chance to have your art chosen to be used in promotional material for the exhibition! All formats, mediums, and styles accepted!
Please submit an Art Submission Form » when you drop off your piece of art. Forms are also available at Reception to fill out upon arrival.
